Trident Property Advisory: Elevating Experiences

Trident Property Advisory and Cancer Care Associates have joined forces to create the truly innovative Specialist Medical Centre located at 36 Hofmann Drive, Noosaville, incorporating world-class facilities and treatment with biophilic design elements for a positive patient experience, Rebecca Jamieson Dwyer discovers.

The phrase ‘cancer treatment’ conjures up all sorts of images: clinical waiting areas, uncomfortable chairs, windowless treatment rooms and intimidating radiation oncology bunkers, to name just a few.

But for Noosa residents, these sterile surroundings will soon be a thing of the past with the opening of a modern, state-of-the-art Cancer Care Noosa centre created by developer Trident Property Advisory and cancer specialists Cancer Care Associates, within Noosa Business Centre’s brand-new Health Precinct in Noosaville.

Not only is the Cancer Care Noosa centre being constructed to the very highest quality standards, but patient experience has been considered through every step of the design process, resulting in a space that feels more reminiscent of a high-end hotel than a traditional medical facility, with the aim of making patients feel more relaxed and comfortable during their treatment.

Incorporating natural light is a huge focus of the design, as is including biophilic elements – the process of increasing occupant connectivity with the natural environment – through the inclusion of a rainforest area, which will be the first thing visitors see on arrival after they walk down the impressive porte-cochère entranceway.

Pleasant outlooks have been prioritised throughout the building, and the rainforest area will be the view for patients as they sit in the comfortable oncology chairs while receiving their chemotherapeutic or haematology treatment (a process that can take up to seven hours), helping them feel more at ease and connected to the outside world throughout the process.

The team at Cancer Care Associates have been providing care to cancer patients for over 30 years, and understand that people undergoing cancer treatment are experiencing some of the hardest times of their lives, as well as the need to create a comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility that is holistic in its approach to care.

Trident Property Advisory Chairman, Shaun Douglas, says: “In terms of quality, design and aesthetics, there’s nothing else like it in the region.

“We teamed up with Cancer Care Associates because we wanted to help create a facility that matters – where people can feel comfortable as they receive their treatment.

“We know that patients will be spending a huge amount of time here, so it was important to us to create a facility that is serene, comfortable and nurturing.

“We’re trying to take away that hospital feel and bring a more human element to the environment.”

At 1,300 square metres, the class 9A Cancer Care Noosa centre will be the largest in the region, incorporating radiation oncology, medical oncology and haematology, as well as an oncology pharmacy and access to national and international clinical trials.

Agreements are also underway with a radiology provider, and a comprehensive breast clinic on an additional 1,200 square metres, making this a comprehensive precinct for a huge range of treatments – giving patients everything they need in one convenient, close-to-home location.

Cancer Care Noosa is being built for the whole community, aiming to provide treatment not just to the wealthy but to everyone who needs it.

Staff experience has been considered too, with facilities such as showers and 50 bicycle parks to encourage sustainable commuting for workers, alongside more than 150 car parks.

“Noosa Council has been highly supportive throughout the entire development and construction process,” says Shaun. “They recognise the value we’re bringing to the community through the creation of this world-class facility.”

Trident Advisory Group are currently looking for like-minded medical practitioners to join the Specialist Medical Centre as tenants, with the opportunity for specific required elements to be incorporated into the design – an exciting opportunity for anyone with a bold vision who wants to be part of this next wave of healthcare.

With the greater Noosa region experiencing notable population growth and an ageing demographic, Trident Property Advisory’s vision for the medical precinct is to support a healthier and more connected community.

Due to open in December 2024, this purpose-built facility is set to seriously revolutionise healthcare in our region.
