Tom Offermann Real Estate: Streets Ahead

Over three decades Tom Offermann has set the benchmark for prosperous property marketing, and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the local community, enthuses Helen Flanagan.

Warmth and enthusiasm for people and places is palpable, generous and charming, and Tom Offermann’s smile comes through in a distinctive way – a naturally optimistic disposition – a glass half-full.

And it’s estimated that since setting up the eponymous Tom Offermann Real Estate, more than three decades ago, he and his team have helped over 20,000 buyers and sellers make life-changing decisions. The database is more than testament to the fact.

“Pride lies not just in the transactions but more the relationships and trust gathered along the way,” comments Tom whose wisdom, knowledge and experience is compelling. “Undoubtedly, laughter and shared excitement of new beginnings, ensures a balance between success and value every step of the real estate way.”

Whether in the office or at home, Tom squeezes in as much as possible. Sitting for long periods or reading a novel are given the brush-off in favour of maintaining an active regime which begins early every workday with a combination of jogging on the beach and paddling a surf ski.

“Exercise makes me much more energetic during the day, and at weekends I enjoy Noosa’s beautiful waterways whether boating, jet skiing, or e-foiling, which I discovered during Covid as a substitute for snowboarding when we couldn’t travel.”

Tom has a serious interest in cars and motorbikes and loves to go for a spin around the Hinterland on weekends.

He is a passionate event partner and supporter of Noosa Concours in Hastings Street, and when 50 of the finest and rarest cars in Australia are in their given spots for the Concours d’Elegance Best in Show judging, it will be impossible to wipe the smile off his face.

“When I first started in real estate, it was just a way to make a living, but it evolved into so much more,” he shares

“What a pleasure watching it continually grow as a family business plan… if I ever retire!

“It gives me great satisfaction doing things well, helping family, colleagues, and clients, and always with a spirit of kindness. I push myself quite hard and don’t allow many excuses.”

Tom says he really enjoys mentoring and training the sales team, making sure clients have skilled professionals working on their properties and that the team of 23 agents are successful and proud of their achievements.

“What I love about the talented goodhearted people in my world, whether appraising and selling property, in administration and advertising, or the creative team behind photography, videography, socials and property writing, they are professionals in a class of their own,” he said.

Whilst focussing on optimum media platforms, relationships have been forged with IN Noosa Magazine to further harness the power of digital connectivity, and drive economic participation and social inclusion as part of a unique campaign.

“Tom Offermann Real Estate is a brand synonymous with the sought-after Noosa lifestyle and all it offers; as well as being a leading light as a results-driven, collaborative and outstanding business leader for more than three decades,” explains IN Publishing Founder and Editor-in-Chief of IN Noosa Magazine
Deb Caruso.

“Working with such an established and respected business and brand, our objective is to act as an extension of their  brand and marketing management to amplify their key messages to our readers and followers.

“We are more than a magazine so whether through our digital magazine; online stories; sharing the quarterly market report in our e-newsletters; sharing the Noosa Surf Report with Josh Constable to our social media followers; and so much more — we are enjoying the mutual benefits of showcasing and sharing the very best of the region to our  highly-engaged audience that look to us for all things ‘IN Noosa’.

“Everyone wins and we love working with Tom as a likeminded business leader committed to hard work, integrity and supporting the community.”

Tom Offermann Real Estate retains its position as Number One agency on the Sunshine Coast, and in the past 12 months, combining the suburbs of Noosa Heads and Sunshine Beach, it sold more than the next four agencies combined.

From waterfront paradise to one-of-a-kind apartments with eagle’s eye views to forever and to sigh for, and all in between, a street in each of those locales hits the two top spots in all of Queensland: Noosa Parade, a 700-metre row of 36 residences with a coveted absolute-riverfront address – and almost on the doorstep of glamorous Hastings Street, considered the Holy Grail – takes the Number One position; and taking Number Two, was Arakoon Crescent in Sunshine Beach.

“Fortuitously”, says Tom, “the in-house media team and listing agents were on the waterfront of 40 Noosa Parade filming when another long-term client in a boat noticed them setting up; promptly enquired if it was coming to market and within a day the unconditional contracts were signed for over $20 million.”

Tom Offermann Real Estate also had the privilege of listing 43 Witta Circle, nearby on The Sound for $35 million, striving to establish a new record for
the owners.

“If any house was going to achieve the figure, this was it,” Tom says proudly.

“Our team combed the client base inviting qualified buyers to view the house privately, found the ideal match, and negotiated the unconditional purchase just two weeks into the campaign.”

No wonder his glass is always half-full.
