AIM: Spring clean your food habits.

Spring brings an abundance of vibrant, fresh produce like tender asparagus, crisp radishes, and leafy greens. Eating seasonally means enjoying fruits and vegetables that are harvested at their peak, providing maximum nutrition and flavour while offering your taste buds some variety too.

Simple, fresh ingredients not only taste better, but they can transform ordinary meals into extraordinary culinary experiences. Organika’s range of freshly made Grab & Go options includes superfood salads, wholesome sandwiches and detoxifying juices (all made in-store) and can be ordered online, ahead of time for 100% convenience.

SOLUTION: Organika’s Grab & Go salads, sandwiches and juices.

AIM: Overhaul your gut and improve skin health

A happy gut is the key to a healthy immune system, and fermented foods like sauerkraut, kefir and kombucha can bolster the gut microbiome by creating a healthier mix of microbes while strengthening the walls of the intestines. Nourishing Wholefoods are your local kraut, kefir and kombucha kings! Packed full of prebiotics, probiotics, nutrients and minerals, their deliciously healthy range is the perfect addition to every meal and is loaded with sparkly healthy bacteria to help you skip into spring with a belly full of fermented goodness.

When it comes to skin, get your glow on with Inca Organics Collagen – a next-level bioactive collagen powder for the skin and body. Its advanced formulation combines three powerful ingredients (peptides, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C) that work synergistically to promote healthy skin, hair, nails, gut, bones, joints and mobility. Their range also includes Australia’s first-to-market certified organic whey protein powder; the milk in their whey comes from cows that graze on pristine pastures as nature intended. Elevate your wellness journey with a protein powder that is organic, clean, wholesome and sustainable.

PANTRY PERFECTION

A well-organised and health-focused pantry sets the foundations for better eating habits!

What to keep:

  • oils and vinegars
  • condiments
  • spices
  • baking essentials
  • canned goods
  • dry goods

What to toss?

Pantry staples have notoriously long shelf lives, but even canned and dried goods need to go eventually. Toss anything that is expired, then evaluate if you have used the item in the past six months, or if you ever will. If the answer is ‘no’, toss it out or pass it onto someone else!

Top tips:

  • Use reusable containers with labels to be better organised.
  • For items without a “best before” date, write the date you purchased or opened it and its expiry (i.e. 6 months) on the pack to remember when it needs to be replaced.
  • When you notice something getting low, add it to your grocery list right away so you don’t run out.
  • When restocking the pantry, move older items to the front so they get used first.
