Noosa Stories is a free online platform designed to take advantage of the rising popularity of podcasting to engage local Noosa hearts and minds and ‘bring out the Noosa in you’. Creator and local entrepreneur Yenny Stromgren has launchedNoosa Stories after her first podcast Everyday Light Warriors was so well received.

Yenny explains Noosa Stories as a place where business, beach and community meet in an engaging, entertaining and uplifting audio exploration of the real-life stories behind Noosa locals; from funny anecdotes of ‘random people on the street’, to the insightful know-how of our business people, and heart-warming stories from volunteers in the community.

“I realised through the Everyday Light Warriors that the true heart of a community is in the emotional connectedness of its people. Noosa Stories also gives me a way to give back to the local community that has been so supportive of me as I made Noosa my home after leaving Sweden,” she said.

“I absolutely love Noosa. This new podcast is to highlight the awesomeness of Noosa and the Noosa Shire. It is so much more than just the pretty beaches! It’s our home and the people here are our family.”

The podcast show asks residents the questions we all have about living and working in and around Noosa… what does it really take to stay here? How do we thrive here? How can we make Noosa life even better?

Yenny said her podcasts have been so well received by the community that she has been approached to teach about the benefits of podcasting for enhancing marketplace presence for Noosa businesses and for those just wanting to explore a new and exciting online medium.

Her first workshop in July this year produced three new podcasting proteges, including one inspired 14-year-old boy who launched his own gaming podcast just four days after the workshop.

Yenny said her goal is to facilitate the launch of 20 more Noosa podcasters into the online audioscape by this Christmas.

“The Noosa people have so much to offer the world and the more we share our knowledge, passion and enthusiasm with the world, the better!” she said.

With podcasting being easier than it seems and more affordable you’d expect, Yenny said she knows her goal is achievable. Those interested in how to start podcasting about business or passion can get more information herehttps://tinyurl.com/noosapodcast.

Podcast to connect Noosa

Noosa's first ever community-based podcast show is live and online offering a unique space for Noosa locals to hang out and connect.
